We’ve seen lots of bathrooms over the years and continue to be amazed at how little care is spent considering the ventilation in a bathroom. Much of the time there isn’t even an exhaust fan present, and when there is one its often woefully inadequate and under powered. Here’s how you can determine if your fan is up to scratch.

Tear of one square of toilet tissue and hold it up to the fan grill. If the fan is up to spec it will grab the paper and really want to suck it all the way through the vent. If it behaves in a very limp wristed way and hardly pulls the paper leaving it able to be blown away with one breath, then its time for an upgrade.
