Back at the beginning of this site in the history section I talk about my carrying the business that my Dad started many years ago. Keith Witham passed away in comfort on the 21st March 2022. Today was his funeral back home in the county he was born - Derbyshire. He was a great man and was held in the fond memories of all that he met. I will miss him.

Hygrometry is the measurement of the amount of water vapour in, amongst other materials, air. At Dovedale Dampcure Services Ltd we use instruments which can quite accurately measure the quantity of moisture in a given volume of air. The value is recorded as a % RH (Relative Humidity). The figure of RH is worked out a differential of two known temperatures, wet bulb and dry bulb temps. So how does this technology help us to give customers and accurate diagnosis? Well, for us utilising electronic hygrometry enables us to ‘fill in the gaps'‘, so to speak. when it is used in conjunction with other methods such as the before talked about Thermography. Using it we can add layer of assurance.
